Advances in medical technology increasingly diminish the notion that cancer can not be cured, because various methods are found to cope with cancer in addition to the chemotherapy. The combination of various methods of making cancer treatment or the tumor becomes more effective.

And, recently the medical world shocked with the invention of the Preferential Radio-Frequency Ablation. Tool for cancer surgery was successfully tested in patients with breast cancer by researchers Karonlinska Institute in Sweden. Cancer cells to die in just 10 minutes after the tool is working in a contracted position of the abnormal cells. And, healthy tissue around the cancer does not come off.

The working of this tool is to use electrical current to heat a thin needle-shaped electrode. Electrode was inserted first into cancer stem cells and then given electric current to heat. Cancer cells that heat would soon die on the spot. The heat of electrode is close to the boiling point of water, which is 75-90 degrees Celsius.

“There is no pain or scar after that and in just minutes after treatment, the woman can leave the hospital,” said Dr. Karin Leifland, a radiologist.

In addition to Preferential Radio-Frequency Ablation, there is another method of cancer surgery that included to the new findings which is Cryo Ablation. The method is in contrast with previous tool. In cryo actually cool the cancer cells to minus several tens of degrees Celsius using helium and argon gas. And, the cancer cells also die instantly. For in Asia currently, the new Cryo Ablation applied by the two hospitals, in Guangzhou (China) and in Solo (Indonesia).
