Pomegranate is not as popular as apples or oranges. But make no mistake, the fruit is often called the pome fruit has plenty of health benefits for the body even claimed as one superfood that can reduce cancer risk.
According to one study, pomegranate also has other benefits, namely preventing heart disease, avoid you from stress, and several other diseases.
The study involved about 60 participants. Every day they were all made of pomegranate extract (fruit including flesh, skin, and seeds) in capsules for one month. During the study, scientists continued to observe the chemical changes in the body of participants.
From a scientific study funded by the Pomegreat PurePlus it is known that eating pomegranates regularly every day can slow the aging process of DNA. Not only that, the experts found the results to a significant decrease in body cell damage that can lead to brain disorders, muscle damage, liver, and kidney function.
“Consuming pomegranate fruit extract on a regular basis can slow the process of oxidation of DNA,” said Dr.Sergio Streitenberger as quoted by the Daily Mail.
Pomegranate fruit itself is known to contain lots of vitamins A, C, E, and are high in antioxidants. The experts also believe that with a decrease to damage the body cells, one can avoid many dangerous diseases.
A scientific study about pomegranate conducted at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh also shows that a person who diligently drinking pomegranate juice can avoid the sense of stress while in the workplace.
