For men, sperm quality could be a very major. Many ways to maintain or improve the quality of sperm, one of them is to reduce the consumption of red meat, coffee, and alcohol.

It’s quite a lot of research showing that consuming unhealthy foods can lower sperm quality. This time the scientists are trying to do more research related to sperm quality and lifestyle (including what kinds of foods are good for the sperm).

The study led by Edson Borges involved about 250 men in Brazil and conducted by the survey. Each participant was given a question about how often they consume fibrous foods such as fruits, vegetables, or grains. They also asked whether they frequently eat meat, fish, or consuming alcohol and cigarettes.

After the survey was conducted, the participants also underwent tests to determine the quality of their sperm. Sperm quality in question is the concentration and also the velocity of sperm to fertilize the ovum.

Low Testosterone Increases Risk of Heart Disease?

One study tried to relate the relationship between testosterone (male sex hormones) with the risk of disease. The result, of the study note that low levels of testosterone in a man thought to increase risk of death from heart disease.

This study was conducted, involving more than 3,600 elderly men. The researchers tried to observe the participants for about 5 years. Within these studies, as many as 6% of men die from heart disease. The men are also known to have low testosterone levels.
